Danielle Bodine offers "Twined Tall Basket"

Learn the ancient technique of twining to create contemporary baskets out of a variety of materials. The class will learn various twining techniques on 5-6 foot bamboo or willow spokes. We will be experimenting with a variety of natural and manufactured weaving materials. Collaging with mulberry papers, stamp printing, painting, using dyes, and embellishing will all be explored. Danielle will bring samples and books and will give a digital presentation of contemporary basket makers’ works.
This workshop is an excellent opportunity for participants to experiment with a variety of materials to create a unique basket. This is a good workshop for art teachers and artists in all medias.
